DriftNet ("the App") is developed and published by enano.tech ("we," "us," or "our"). This policy explains how the App and our related services handle information. enano.tech operates in the United States, and the App is intended for users in the United States.
The App detects nearby nanoTag Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) devices, records where and when they were seen, and syncs that information to our servers so it is available across your devices and, where applicable, with others in your organization. We also receive location and status updates for tags from a third‑party network. This policy describes what we collect, how it is used, and who it is shared with.
Bluetooth. Used to scan for and detect nearby nanoTag BLE devices. The App reads advertisement data such as device identifiers, signal strength, and temperature values broadcast by the tags.
Location (including in the background). Used to record the GPS coordinates of a detection at the moment a nanoTag is seen, so sightings can be shown on a map and exported. Background location access allows detections to continue being location‑stamped while the App is not in the foreground. These coordinates are uploaded to our servers as part of sync.
Detection / sighting records. Time, GPS coordinates, signal strength (RSSI), temperature, and tag identifiers. These records are stored on your device and transmitted to our servers.
Account information. The App requires an account to sync your data and control who can access it. We collect the information you provide when you sign up or sign in, such as your email address and authentication credentials.
Third‑party tag location data. We receive location and status updates for tags from a third‑party location network through its APIs. This data is sent to our servers and then synced to you within the App. It may include tag identifiers, locations, timestamps, and event information such as a tag arriving at a location.
Technical and log information. Our servers store your synced data and maintain logs necessary to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the service, such as records of sync activity and associated timestamps.
We use the information above to:
Sync your detection records across your devices, and — where your account is part of an organization — share designated tags and their history with other members of that organization.
Display a live list, a map, and per‑tag history, and let you export your own data.
Provide tag tracking and status features, including updates sourced from the third‑party location network.
Send you notifications within the App about tag events, such as a tag arriving or a box being opened, where you have enabled them.
Operate, maintain, secure, and troubleshoot the service.
Detection records are stored locally on your device and on our cloud servers, which are located in the United States and operated by third‑party cloud infrastructure providers on our behalf.
Data transmitted between the App and our servers is protected in transit using industry‑standard encryption (HTTPS/TLS), and data stored on our servers is encrypted at rest.
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as described here:
Service providers. We use third‑party providers to run the service, including cloud infrastructure for authentication, database storage, server functions, and notifications. These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms and privacy commitments.
Third‑party location network. We receive tag location and status data from a third‑party location network via its APIs. The data provided by that network is also subject to its own privacy practices.
Other users in your organization. If your account is part of an organization, tags and detection history designated as shared will be visible to other members of that organization within the App.
Legal and safety. We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, or legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our users, the public, or us.
Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.
You may choose to export your detection history as a GPX file using the App's export feature. When you do this, the file is handled by you through your device's standard sharing options, such as saving to Files or sending to another app.
Map display uses the map service provided by your device's platform — Apple Maps on iOS and Google Maps on Android. Your use of the map is subject to that provider's privacy practices.
Access and deletion. You can view and delete your detection records within the App. Deleting a record removes it from your device and from your synced data on our servers.
Location and Bluetooth permissions. You can change or revoke Bluetooth and Location permissions at any time through your device settings. Doing so will stop new detections from being recorded.
Account deletion. You may delete your account within the App or by contacting us at support@enano.tech. When you request account deletion, your account and associated data are permanently deleted from our servers within 30 days.
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA) gives you certain rights regarding your personal information, including the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, the right to request access to or deletion of your personal information, the right to correct inaccurate personal information, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell or share your personal information for cross‑context behavioral advertising. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@enano.tech. We will verify and respond to your request as required by law.
Detection data remains on your device until you delete it within the App or uninstall the App. Data synced to our servers is retained until you delete it or request account deletion; upon an account‑deletion request, your account and associated data are permanently deleted from our servers within 30 days.
Uninstalling the App removes locally stored detection data but does not by itself delete data already synced to our servers. To remove your server‑stored data, delete it within the App or request account deletion.
The App is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect information from children. If we learn that we have collected information from a child in a manner inconsistent with applicable law, we will take steps to delete it.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, by notifying you within the App.
If you have questions about this policy, contact us at support@enano.tech.
